Humberto Decanini
Author of sci fi books
The GAMER Program originated in 1997, when its creator, Jorge Humberto Decanini, was a 16-year-old high school student in Monterrey. Back then, he used to draw comics in his notebooks during tedious classes, joking with a friend about the storylines they were dreaming up together. One day, while drawing a *Dragon Ball Z* parody, he decided to sketch his friend Luis—who, in turn, drew a picture of the author as an act of playful retaliation. Both characters were cast as villains opposing the comic's heroes during a story arc that paid homage to the *Dragon Ball Z* Android saga. The twist? Both characters were expert gamers, and their fusion would create the ultimate "GAMER"—capable of beating any game. Those two characters were Jurgen and Lewis.
